I am ten years old. I have three sisters. I live with my Mum and Dad and one of my sisters in Leyton, London. My other two sisters live in Jamaica. I was born in July 2001 in South England and everyone in my family calls me south girl. My best friend is Awa. My favourite food is rice and peas and curry goat with a bit of pepper sauce. I love drawing and going shopping with my Mum. When I grow up I want to be a hairdresser like my Mum. My Dad is a carpenter.

My ancestors hang from the living room wall,
Watching us, guiding us catching us if we fall.

Ancestors On The Wall

My ancestors hang from the living room wall,
Watching us, guiding us catching us if we fall,
We are surrounded by love,
By history and memories,
Whenever I feel alone,
I look up and see my family.
